Playing Position: Striker
Club: MSV Duisburg

Soren Larsen was born in Køge, Denmark on the 6th of September 1981. The young Dane played youth team football as a youngster, with his goal-scoring ability attracting the interest of second division side Køge BK.
Larsen would complete his football education at Køge BK, making intermittent appearances for the club whilst finding his feet as a professional striker. After four seasons in his home town, Larsen took the step up to top-flight football by signing with Brøndby IF.
Larsen’s time at Brøndby proved to be brief, as he played just one game for the side and injured himself in a belly-flop goal celebration. He subsequently found himself out on loan to Frem, where he made eight appearances, and scored two goals, before securing a permanent contract from the club.
Once entrenched at Frem, Larsen began to score goals, eventually putting away 11 goals in 31 appearances for the club. His improved form resulted in an offer from Swedish club, Djurgården. Larsen matured in the Swedish league, scoring 10 goals in just 13 appearances for his club.
With Larsen now in full stride, his stock rose and he soon attracted interest from the Bundesliga. Larsen signed with Schalke04, and would spend four seasons in the outfit before accepting an offer to join Toulouse in the French Ligue 1.
Larsen again failed to fire at Toulouse, and after just six appearances requested a return to Germany. Toulouse subsequently lent Larsen out to Duisburg in the German second division, where Larsen has again found some of his best form.
While Larsen’s club career has had its ups and downs, he has enjoyed regular game time with his national team since 2005. As a member of the Denmark football team, Soren Larsen has scored a number of important goals, including five goals in qualifying for the 2010 Football World Cup.
Standing 6 feet 4 inches tall, Soren Larsen brings exceptional physical presence to the forwards for his team. Not only does the Dane tend to dwarf opposing defences, but he is also gifted with strength in the air and his lethal finishing ability has earned him the nickname ‘the weapon’.
