| Craps History |
Craps is a popular modern casino game derived from the dice games that have been played by soldiers for centuries. Craps is the only dice game available in many casinos and is one of the most exciting and enjoyable available to players willing to learn how to play the game.
Playing Craps for Beginners
Craps is played by betting on the outcome of two dice rolled over a specially designed table. In a regular casino, one player, named the shooter, is required to choose and then roll two dice across a craps table, bouncing the dice off the opposite end of the table.
Bets on the outcome of the roll can be placed by as many players as wish to participate. Craps games are separated into rounds, the duration of which are decided by the number of rolls in the round, which in turn are dependent on the numbers which come up when the dice are totally after each roll.
The combinations of dice totals are divided into two basic categories:
Playing Craps for Beginners – Basic Betting
Fire bet: This is the easiest bet to place on a craps game. By placing a fire bet, the players bets that the shooter will manage to roll the dice more than four time in the round. Once the shooter has passed the fourth point, fire bets start to pay out at increasingly high odds.
Line bets: Line bets involve betting on or against the shooter rolling a win, craps or a point. These bets can be placed at any stage of a round and the contingencies can become quite complex as a round goes on.
Single roll bets: Single roll bets are placed on the outcome of a single roll of the dice. Players can bet on a specific number at high odds, or on a field of numbers at lower odds.
Multi Roll bets: Multi roll bets are the most complex bets and involve betting on the outcome of a full round of play.
