Wincanton racecourse is one of the oldest national hunt racing venues in the United Kingdom, with its famous Easter Monday races dating back to the turn of the 19th century. During its history Wincanton racecourse has been moved from Hatherleigh Farm to Kingwell Farm in Somerset. Wincanton Racecourse is renowned for its rural charm and friendly spectators, and is regularly voted most popular racecourse in the South West. National hunt meetings are held at Wincanton for 8 months of the year.

Wincanton racecourse consists of a single 1 mile 4 furlong, right-handed oval. The flat surface and easy corners make for fast races.
