Set on the estate of Eaton Neston estate, Towcester racecourse is a popular national hunt racing venue best known for its scenic surrounds and free winter meetings. Racing at Towcester racecourse can be traced back to 1928 when Lord Hesketh organised the first races on his property. In recent years the Towcester Racecourse has seen major rebuilding take place, and since 2006 entry fees have been levied on the Boxing Day and Easter Sunday race meetings.

Towcester racecourse comprises a 1 mile 6 furlong, right-handed oval. The course is popular with the national hunt community for its tight corners and steep 1 mile uphill run-in, features that frequently contribute to upsets and unexpected results.
