Racing at Redcar in Yorkshire dates back to the 1870s, when races were hosted on the town’s beaches. Today Redcar racecourse boasts modern facilities, an upgraded grandstand and some of the best flat racing in Yorkshire.
Redcar Racecourse is a well designed course with a 1 mile 6 furlong, left-handed oval with tight turns. The course is designed to facilitate sprints of up to a mile on the straight, with a 5 furlong run-in for longer races.
