Fontwell Park is a popular racecourse in West Sussex. The Fontwell Park racecourse is routinely voted the best small racecourse in the south-east by the England Racegoers Club. First opened for racing in 1924, Fontwell Park racecourse is recognised as one of the most intimate national hunt racing venues in England.

A unique feature of the Fontwell Park racecourse is the figure of eight steeplechase course. This left-handed course covers a distance of a mile. The hurdles course takes the form of a conventional left-handed oblong, and also covers the distance of a mile.
