Ayr racecourse is the only Grade One racecourse in Scotland. Located within a short distance of the Ayrshire coast, the Ayr racecourse hosts the majority of Scotland’s top class national hunt and flat racing festivals, including the Scottish National and the Scottish Derby.

The Ayr racecourse comprises a 1� mile oval with a left-handed racetrack with a 6 furlong and 7 furlong track running into and out of the main racing oval. Despite the undulating surface the absence of sharp corners makes for fast races.
