Liz Lieu is one of the most attractive female poker pros on the poker circuit, nicknamed the poker diva because of her taste for designer clothing. A limit holdem cash game expert, Liz has become famous when she finished 5th at the 2005 WSOP $1500 No-Limit Hold’em event, cashing 168,000 dollars.

Liz Lieu Bio:
Born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Liz emigrated to Colorado, USA with her family when she was an infant. Her parents had to work hard to raise her and her sister in this new environment, while preserving a sense of tradition. Liz first learned Chinese Poker at 13, which she played for five years until she added Hold’em and Pai Gow Poker to her arsenal.
Liz became rapidly very interested in the game of poker and she first started her own home game, making good money from it. But this was not enough for the talented poker pro, and she headed to Las Vegas to first become a casino dealer, and then a full time poker pro in 2001.
Liz Lieu Poker Career:
At the beginning, Liz Lieu played mostly in Fixed Limit Texas Hold’em cash games and small tournaments. As her skills were getting better and better, she turned poker pro in 2001, but she continued to play in her high stakes limit holdem games at Las Vegas casinos.
It is not until 2005 that Liz Lieu joined a large poker tournament, and this was a great start as she finished 5th at the WSOP $1500 NLHE event. She instantly became famous as poker is a male dominated game and gorgeous petites who can play poker like Liz are a rarity.
Since the 2005 WSOP, Liz Lieu has enjoyed deep runs in the World Poker Tour Finals, Five Diamond World Poker Classic, Gold Strike World Poker Open, L.A. Poker Classic – which she won with its $148k first prize.
Liz Lieu has appeared on the cover of many poker magazines such as American Poker Player, Maxim’s Total Poker, Deal, Flush and Woman Poker Player. In 2007, Liz Lieu signed a sponsorship deal with ChiliPoker and represents the online poker room at poker events throughout the world.

Liz Lieu uses her fashionable appearance for deceiving her opponents at high stakes casino games in Las Vegas, where she is a regular. Liz Lieu favors an aggressive style low-key approach to playing poker, and prefers the Limit Hold’em format.
