Phil Taylor feels he has another level to move up to after progressing into the semi-finals of the Stan James.com World Matchplay (Taylor 1/5 Tournament Outright) with a 16-4 mauling of Kevin Painter.

The world number one is aiming to clinch his 11th title at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens and had no problems in seeing off Painter with an average 103.31 and three ton-plus finishes. ‘The Power’ will now face Simon Whitlock (Taylor 1/10, Whitlock 6/1 Darts Coupon) in the last-four on Saturday evening and he is confident of hitting top form in that match.
