Can Cousin Vinny tick the Supreme Novice’s Hurdle off his Cheltenham Festival wish list?

The Cheltenham Festival kicks off tomorrow and punters are scurrying to the bookmakers in their numbers in a last-ditch effort to put their hard earned cash behind some of the finest national hunt horses to come out of the British Isles in recent years.

The maiden event of the opening day at the races is the Supreme Novice’s Hurdle and Cousin Vinny has been tapped as the preferred pacer to add the elite title to his outstanding career record.

The bay gelding has been particularly impressive at the hurdles and his only Achilles heel is his perceived inability to conqueror in soft conditions.

Paddy Power is offering a money-back special on the opening race that is more fanciful than frugal! Should Cousin Vinny come away with the kudos as is expected, the Irish bookmaker will refund all losing win and each way single stakes in the race! Current odds on a win or each way are Cousin Vinny 5-2, Torpichen 11-2 and Michael Flips 10-1.
