Betfair Cup Winners
The Betfair Cup attracts the interest of some of the most powerful stables in thoroughbred racing, and has boasted winners of genuine quality over the years. Gerard Butler’s Nayir set the bar for the race in 2002 and 2003 by winning the Betfair Cup in two consecutive years. Observatory, the winner of the inaugural race, went on to win the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot later in that same year.
