Coutts Glorious Stakes
The Glorious Stakes is a grade 3 thoroughbred race, run during the course of the annual Glorious Goodwood festival. The race is open to 4 year old and older thoroughbreds, and is raced over a distance of 1 mile 4 furlongs on Goodwood Racecourse. First raced in 1979 as the Alycidon Stakes, the Glorious Stakes received its current name in 1987 and was promoted from conditions to group 3 status in 2008.
