Argentina faces Scotland in a critical Group B playoff on Sunday. The winner of this fixture is virtually certain of progressing to the second round of the tournament, and a likely encounter with New Zealand. Scotland has a slightly bigger incentive to win this match, as the Scots still have a theoretical chance of topping Group B with their match against England yet to come.

Scotland and Argentina have met eight times in the past decade. Argentina built a slight edge over the Scots during this period, taking five wins to three for the Scots. However, in more recent seasons it has been Scotland who has dominated with the Scots winning three of their last four matches.
Argentina is having a decent enough World Cup. After narrowly losing out to England with an injury-ridden side before smashing a plucky Romanian side.
