2011 Windsor Forest Stakes Preview & Tips
The Windsor Forest Stakes is a classy Group 2 race for older fillies and mares over 1 mile. There’s some real talent in this year’s field, and the race is set to be one of the mares and fillies hightlights of the 2011 Royal Ascot meeting.
2011 Windsor Forest Stakes Race Favourites
1. Seta
Seta is looking for her first Group win at Ascot on Wednesday. She’s shown some strong form in listed races over the past year, and heads to Ascot with four wins from five starts. Questions could be asked about how she’ll handle stiffer opposition, but at a price of 4/1 at Bet365 she’s a safe each-way punt if she places.
2. Sajjhaa
Sajjhaa has a Group 3 win to her credit, and finished 2 lengths shy of the talented Midday in the recent Middleton Stakes. Given that Midday is a seven times Group 1 winner, we can surmise that Sajjhaa could probably put away most of the field in the 2011 Windsor Forest Stakes. At a price of 9/2 at totesport she offers each way value.
3. I’m a Dreamer
I’m a Dreamer has won four of her six starts, including a recent Group 3 at Newmarket. However, she only managed places in two previous listed races, and there’s cause to doubt her Group 2 credentials. However, given the generally low quality of this field, she’s certain to have her backers at a price of 11/2 at Ladbrokes.
2011 Windsor Forest Stakes Long Shots
At 14/1 Dever Dream looks the best bargain in the field. While she finished an umimpressive 5th in a recent Group 3 at Lingfield, she turned heads last season when she took six wins from eight races. While she’s unlikely to win it, she’s a value each-way bet.

Sajjhaa looks like the horse to watch in the 2011 Windsor Forest Stakes. This filly has a definite edge in the class department, as well as the form she needs to win this race. At odds over 4/1 she’ll pay a small profit on a place, but offers real value on the win.
