2011 Norfolk Stakes Preview & Tips
A classy Group 2 5 furlong sprint for 2-year-olds gets the action underway on Ladies Day at the 2011 Royal Ascot Meeting, as 21 horses line up for the Norfolk Stakes.
2011 Norfolk Stakes Race Favourites
1. Bapak Chinta
Bapak Chinta heads the betting for the 2011 Norfolk Stakes at close to evens at many bookies. He’s raced just once in his career, and beat 2011 Windsor Castle Stakes winner, Frederick Engels on that occasion by an impressive three lengths. This horse has pace to burn, and may well be worth a straight back bet.
2. Everyday Dave
American raider, Everyday Dave, weighs in at second place in the betting. He’s unbeaten in his career of two races, and this will be his first outing in the UK. His last win was by 8 lengths suggesting that this speedster could also be worth a look at a price of 4/1.
3. Silverheels
Irish raider, Silverheels, completes the top three. He’s also got one win to his credit, taking that victory by 3.5 lengths. He looks quite a speculative option at 5/1.
2011 Norfolk Stakes Long Shots
There’s plenty of value to be had on long shot runners, but we can’t ignore Bannock. He’s got two wins and two places from four races and looks like he has a solid chance of finishing in the places. At a price of 5/1 at Paddy Power he’s a solid each-way bet.
