2011 King Edward VII Stakes Race Favourites
1. Nathaniel
Nathaniel comes into the race as a favourite with one win and three seconds places from four career races. His last race saw him come in second after starting as the favourite – hardly a compelling reason to back this entry. Paddy Power has him trading as low as 11/4 – and our advice is to lay him low.
2. World Domination
World Domination didn’t do his name any justice when he finished 4th at the recent Dante Stakes after starting the race priced at 5/2. While his previous race did yield a win, you get the feeling his connections are hoping that the opposition in this race will be weak enough for him to take the win – at a price of 4/1, he may just be worth speculating on with an each-way bet.
3. Mijhaar
Mijhaar has raced once this season, taking his first race win, and adding this to a second place achieved at Newbury in October. His most recent win was achieved 7 lengths ahead of the second placed runner after starting the races as an under Evens favourite. This performance suggests he’s the most bankable bet of the top three at a price of 7/1 at Boylesports.
2011 King Edward VII Stakes Long Shots
Glen’s Diamond is the standout in the 2011 King Edward VII Stakes based on form. He’s won his last four races on the trot, and has never finished outside the places. What’s more, his most recent win was a Group 3 over 10 furlongs – at a price of 7/1 at Paddy Power he’s easily the most bankable bet outside the top three.
