2011 Chesham Stakes Preview & Tips
A listed race for 2-year-olds gets the action underway on the final day of the 2011 Royal Ascot meeting, as a reasonably small field heads out over 7 furlongs in the Chesham Stakes.
2011 Chesham Stakes Race Favourites
1. Maybe
Maybe heads the betting on the basis of one win from one race at Naas. She looked classy in that outing, beating a field of 10 by almost 5 lengths. She’s also carrying a decent rating, but offers little value at odds of almost Evens on what is ultimately a risky bet.
2. Falls of Lora
Falls of Lora has run one more race than the favourite, finishing second in her maiden voyage before taking a win earlier this month. Her rating isn’t far off the favourite, but at this age there’s no telling what she can do in the space of a few weeks. At a top price of 5/1 at Paddy Power she looks worth a back bet.
3. Fort Bastion
Fort Bastion has the dubious distinction of holding third place in the betting on the merits of a single second place finish in one race. At 5/1 he looks like a good option for a lay bet.
2011 Chesham Stakes Long Shots
With two places, a win and a 7th place from four races, Bling King has a more established track record that tells us that he may be good for a place in the 2011 Chesham Stakes. At odds of 40/1 you could do much worse for an each-way betting option offering real value on the place.

Falls of Lora is the obvious choice for the 2011 Chesham Stakes. Priced just high enough for an each-way bet, she could easily win this race and would pay a small profit on the place.
