2011 RSA Chase Preview & Tips
The RSA Chase is the testing ground for future Queen Mother Champion Chase contenders, and has drawn a smallish field for the 2011 renewal.
2011 RSA Chase Race Favourites
1. Time For Rupert
Following a short, but successful, career over hurdles, Time For Rupert has moved onto fences where he has produced two wins from two starts. This entry is no stranger to Cheltenham, where he has competed in his last five races (winning three and finishing second in two). He’s priced very low for this race, with William Hill offering a best price of 9/4, and looks somewhat underpriced given his lack of experience over fences.
2. Aiteen Thirtythree
Paul Nicholls’ Aiteen Thirtythree has a record to rival the favourite, with two wins from two starts over fences. However, both his races over fences took place at Newbury, and there is no telling how he’ll handle the demands of the Cheltenham Old Course. However, he’s definitely top value with William Hill offering odds of 8/1 on this entry.
3. Jessies Dream
Jessies Dream is a more experienced chaser, with two wins and two places from five starts. He’s done all his racing in Ireland, but has already captured a Grade 1 chase win. Paddy Power is offering top odds on this entry at 8/1, and he’s easily the value pick in this race.
2011 RSA Chase Long Shots
Trading at 11/1 at Bet365, Wayward Prince is tough to ignore. He’s run in three chases and has won all three races, including a win at Cheltenham. In terms of record and price, this is a horse you don’t want to rule out of your betting.
